Frontline Cars has introduced the MGA Factory Edition, ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Members’ Meeting later this month. It’s a stylish retromod full of old school charm.

Available as a coupe and roadster, the MGA Factory Edition is based on fully restored models from the 1950’s. These are given “subtle exterior design tweaks” as they adopt modern LED headlights and new 15-inch wire wheels. Customers can also order optional “Dunlop-style” alloy wheels that reduce unsprung mass and improve handling.

The interior is highly customizable and sports retro Smiths gauges. They’re joined by practical door pockets and a modern audio system with a hidden head unit. This retains the classic look, while also providing a modern audio setup with two speakers, two tweeters, an amplifier, and Bluetooth connectivity.

An assortment of options are available including power windows and heated front seats. Customers can also get air conditioning and a wireless smartphone charger.

Under the hood, there’s a 2.0-liter Duratec engine that produces 225 hp (168 kW / 228 PS) and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a Mazda-sourced five-speed manual transmission, which enables the 1,797 lb (815 kg) car to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Customers can also get a 2.5-liter engine with 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque. It lowers the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time to 4.1 seconds, but the top speed remains unchanged.

Speaking of performance, the car ditches leaf springs and adopts a fully adjustable five-link rear suspension. Buyers will also find electronic power steering, a limited-slip differential, and a modern braking system with two- and four-piston calipers.

The MGA Factory Edition will be offered in right- and left-hand drive configurations. The model is currently available to order and deliveries are slated to begin in the summer of 2026.
