- Ford introduced employee pricing for all US buyers but dropped promotional financing options.
- Several Ford models also lost substantial customer cash offers that were available before April 2.
- The 2024 Expedition discount dropped from $7,000 to $2,000 under the new pricing strategy.
Just as the latest round of international tariffs rolled out, Ford announced it would extend employee pricing to all American shoppers for a limited time. On paper, it sounds like a generous move, one meant to soften the blow of looming economic uncertainty. But as the details come into focus, the savings aren’t quite as impressive as they first appeared.

The Blue Oval is offering employee pricing to all customers on pretty much every 2024 and 2025 Ford and Lincoln model until June 2. Additionally, the deal can be combined with any other incentives that may be currently on offer. But, as it turns out, Ford quietly discarded some of the more enticing deals it had before April 2 when the new pricing rolled out.

According to Cars Direct, Ford has pulled back promotional financing offers across much of its lineup. Previously, you could finance an Escape on a 60-month loan at a 3.9% APR, but that has now been increased to 7%. Other models are also only now available at standard financing rates.
Cash Incentives Take a Hit
Financing isn’t the only thing that Ford has messed with. Before the employee pricing deal was announced, several models were available with generous discounts. For example, the 2024 Expedition came with $7,000 in customer cash, but that has now been cut to just $2,000. Similarly, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E previously had $8,000 in lease cash, but this has been reduced to $3,750. The company is also understood to have reduced the customer cash offer for the 2025 Escape Plug-In Hybrid by $4,000, bringing it down to $5,000.
Rob Kaffl, Ford’s director of US sales, framed the employee pricing program as “a handshake deal with every American,” boasting that “for 121 years, we’ve put our money where our mouth is, assembling vehicles that Americans rely on and supporting American Jobs.
That said, the offer isn’t universal. While the employee pricing program is available for most Ford and Lincoln models, there are some exclusions. These include the new Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, all Super Duty pickup trucks, F-150 Raptor and Ranger Raptors, and higher-end Mustangs and Broncos.
So while the headline offer sounds appealing, the fine print tells a more familiar story, one where the best deals were already here and now they’re not.
