- The test car has several aero add-ons, including carbon aero discs on the rear wheels.
- Manthey’s kit for the 992.1-gen 911 GT3 shaved 4.19 seconds off the car’s ‘Ring time.
While the updates made to the 992.2 generation Porsche 911 GT3 have been relatively minor, largely focused on reducing emissions and a few subtle styling tweaks, Manthey Racing is working on a new upgrade kit to further improve the performance of the track-focused 911.

Manthey was spotted testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife for the first time with their latest modifications. As Porsche has made changes to the 992.2 GT3’s front bumper, Manthey is adjusting accordingly. This prototype sports a pair of small aerodynamic canards, and the front splitter appears slightly larger than before.
Aero Enhancements and New Components
Additionally, the 911 is rocking a new set of wheels with carbon fiber aero discs at the rear. This tester also has some camouflage across the rear wing, and it appears the endplates are slightly larger than the regular GT3. Similarly, a new carbon fiber diffuser appears to be fitted.
While the aesthetic tweaks are obvious, most of Manthey’s upgrades will be found under the skin. For reference, the previous 992.1 GT3 received bespoke 3-way and 4-way adjustable coilovers, upgraded brake discs, new underbody aero components, illuminated door sills, and steel braided brake lines. These enhancements shaved an impressive 4.19 seconds off its Nurburgring lap time, bringing it down to 6:55.737.
Manthey isn’t expected to make any tweaks to the GT3’s 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six, and it doesn’t need to. As standard, this engine delivers 502 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque, more than enough for a sports car like this. With the available six-speed manual, the car needs just 3.7 seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h), and takes just 3.2 seconds to reach the same mark with the PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.
